In 2007 and 2008, the Society has arrangements for a number of matches and "challenges", running from April to November. We also have scheduled a number of days in the year, as "Medal Days". Scores will be taken from rounds on the Jubilee Course, currently the Society’s Home Course.
The Unified Handicap System, brought in by the Congress of National Golf Unions places a different emphasis on the maintenance and updating of Handicaps. Coupled with the concept of "extra day scores", as sanctioned by the Scottish Golf Union, the Society's Medal Day scores will be taken over a Round over the Jubilee Course played on the day in question, and from the tee boxes placed for that day.
Signed cards from those Rounds should be left at the Club Office at Mount Melville, to allow Handicap evaluation.
Others wish the Society to be their Home Club for Handicap purposes. If we are your Home Club, you should consider a visit to St Andrews this year, for play on our Medal Days to ensure that your Handicap remains valid for play elsewhere. Should you wish to inquire about how the new Rules affect your Handicap, please e-mail us on info@heritagegolfingsociiety.org .
The Society's website will be the focus for News, Events, and some Travel options for Golf elsewhere than St Andrews. It also contains the Society’s merchandising offers. Access to the Members area will be given through a Username and a Password. This will be provided to you, on payment of your joining or renewal subscription.
